Eva Cassidy

Songbird Notecard Series

Truly one of the Washington area’s most precious treasures, Eva Cassidy is remembered for her soaring voice, interpretive ability and unerring pitch.  Those who knew  her remember her personality -- a selfless nature and good heart.  She ignored boundaries not out of rebellion but simply because she was oblivious to them.  For Eva all music was her kind of music.

These photographs, taken by Adam Traum and Maria Villafana, allow  a little glimpse of Eva Cassidy while performing for the Washington Area Music Association in 1994.
